About Me

Born and bred in Shropshire I live near Shrewsbury with my husband and our young son.  I am a Chartered Legal Executive and have spent 25 years working in the legal profession, both in private practice and in the insurance sector.  It was during my time with a household name insurance company that I first discovered hypnosis.  The company invested heavily in its employees and regularly provided training and coaching courses.  There were a couple of courses I attended which made me feel empowered and inspired.  To coin a phrase, like a new person.  It was several years later that I realized those courses had involved the use of hypnosis.

I subsequently explored hypnosis, and specifically, hypnotherapy, in more depth and was fascinated by the substantial and positive changes made possible and by the scientific research which confirms that the brain behaves differently in hypnosis.  I embarked on a course of study with the North Wales Hypnotherapy Academy and now hold the HPD (Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma) and also the DAH (Diploma in Advanced Hypnosis).

I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), and also the Complementary and National Health Care Council (CNHC).  I have full insurance and adhere strictly to the NCH's Code of Ethics and the CNHC's Code of Conduct, Ethics and Performance.

I believe that everyone has the right to good mental health and that hypnotherapy can be a powerful life tool to help us to be our best.

All discussions and sessions with me are of course absolutely confidential, and your personal details will be stored and retained securely in accordance with current data protection legislation.
